Salon Check In Web Settings

Location: iOffice -> Tools -> SalonCheckin -> Web Settings

Finetune the online check in experience for your guests who check in through your Salon Check In site and mobile web.

A location needs to be enabled for online services through our support team before Web Settings can become available on SCI or mobile apps. You won't be able to access these settings unless you have at least one location enabled.

General Settings

Application Title

Description: Changes the title of the application as it will be displayed on the website as well as notification emails.

Default value: SalonCheckin.

Options: Enter a text value of your choice.

Site Title

Description: Changes the welcoming message to appear in the website. This is a good place to add a company slogan.

Default value: Welcome to SalonCheckin.

Options: Enter a text value of your choice.

Site Description

Description: Sets a quick description of the site to complement the Site Title.

Options: Enter a text value of your choice.

Login at

Description: Changes the time in which web guests are required to log in. When set to Start Screen, guests will be required to log in prior to seeing any information on the website. When set to Confirm Screen, guests will be able to select a salon, a stylist, a service and a timeslot and then be required to log in in order to confirm the reservation.

Default value: Confirm Screen.

Options:

  • Confirm Screen

Encountered just after a user tries to schedule a service.

  • Start Screen

Encountered after an initial search or clicking on a popular or nearby location.

Proceed with Caution. Entering the wrong web address or making a mistake can have unintended consequences!

Description: Link to use when the Home or Site logo is clicked. This can be set to an external URL.

Default value: /.

Options: Enter a web address of your choice.

Lead Time
Proceed with Caution. Entering a lead time longer than intended can cause a location to show inflated and inaccurate wait times to customers during online check in!

Description: Determines the interval in minutes from the current time in which bookings will be made unavailable. For example, if set to 30, users will only be able to book check-in tickets and appointments 30 mins ahead and beyond. The equivalent setting under Store Settings overrides this group setting.

Default value: 0.

Options: Any number value, but it's suggested to stick to the same intervals used in the scheduler and/or appointments tab (15 minutes or 30 minutes).

Site Modules

Group Module: Column 1

All three group modules can be found directly on the home page of your Salon Check In site.

Description: Selects the module to be displayed in Column 1 of the main screen.

Default value: Popular Locations.

Options:

Group Module: Column 2

Description: Selects the module to be displayed in Column 2 of the main screen.

Group Module: Column 3

Description: Selects the module to be displayed in Column 3 of the main screen.

Store Module: Column 1

All three store modules can be found after clicking on a store's "details" button or by going directly to a store's page.

Description: Selects the module to be displayed in Column 1 of the store screen.

Default value: Schedule.

Store Module: Column 2

Description: Selects the module to be displayed in Column 2 of the store screen.

Default value: Ratings.

Scheduler Settings

Scheduler mode

Description: Changes the mode in which time availability is displayed to guests. Next-hour check-in provides guests with slots within the next hour. All-Day check-in provides guests with an hour:minute selector, enabling them to check-in at any time during the business day. Appointments enables multi-day appointment without check-ins. Appointments & Check-in enables a hybrid of both Appointments and Check-in.

Default value: All-Day Check-in.

Scheduler Button Label

Description: Allows to customize the label for the Scheduler button.

Default value: Call Ahead.

Options: Enter a text value of your choice.

Clock-in Required

Description: Determines if clock-in is required for checkin slot availability. If enabled, an employee must be clocked in in order to be available for online check-in. If disabled, the schedule alone would be enough to determine slot availability. This setting does not affect appointments.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Allow Multiple Guests

Description: Determines if the user is allowed to enter a guest name on a ticket or appointment. If disabled, all tickets and appointments will only match the name entered during user registration.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Enable Next Available

Description: Enables or Disables ´Next Available´ as an available selection in the scheduler. This setting does not affect appointments.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Display Service Categories

Description: Determines whether service categories should be displayed in the service selection pane. If disabled, services will appear with no title category.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Display Service Times

Description: Determines whether estimated service times should be displayed in the service selection pane.

Default value: Disabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Display Service Prices

Description: Determines whether service prices should be displayed in the service selection pane.

Default value: Disabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Allow Multiple Services

Description: Determines whether to allow users to select more than one service.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

One Ticket per service

Description: When enabled, each service selected will be saved in an individual ticket. If disabled, only one ticket will be created with all of the selected services.

Default value: Disabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Profanity Filter

Description: When enabled, any check-in or appointment that contains profanity within the guest name will be discarded.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Display Approximate Wait Time

Description: Shows or hides wait time in the initial Check-in screen.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Display Guests Waiting

Description: Shows or hides the number of guests waiting in the initial Check-in screen.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Display Stylists Working

Description: Shows or hides the number of stylists working in the initial Check-in screen.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Ticket Limit for New Guests

Description: Sets a ticket limit for first time SalonCheckin guests. The ticket limit applies for any tickets created for any salons in the SalonCheckin group.

Default value: 3.

Options: Enter a number value of your choice.

Ticket Limit for Recurring Guests

Description: Sets a ticket limit for recurring SalonCheckin guests. The ticket limit applies for any tickets created for any salons in the SalonCheckin group.

Default value: 6.

Options: Enter a number value of your choice.

Email User Confirm Email

Description: Determines if a confirmation email should be sent to the user when a booking is created.

Default value: Enabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Email Store Admin Confirm Email

Description: Determines if a confirmation email should be bcc`ed to the store administrator when a booking is created.

Default value: Disabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Email User Cancel Email

Description: Determines if a confirmation email should be sent to the user when a booking is cancelled.

Default value: Disabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Email Store Admin Cancel Email

Description: Determines if a confirmation email should be bcc`ed to the store administrator when a booking is cancelled.

Default value: Disabled.

Options: Enabled or Disabled.

Social Media

Proceed with caution. Entering an incorrect web address could lead customers to the wrong page or to a URL that doesn't work.
Website

Description: URL for the company/franchise website.

Default value: Blank.

Options: Enter a web address that links to your business website.

Facebook ID

Description: Adds a Facebook link to the website. Users will be directed to https://www.facebook.com/[Facebook ID].

Default value: blank.

Options: Enter a web address that links to your business Facebook page.

Twitter ID

Description: Adds a Twitter link to the website. Users will be directed to https://www.twitter.com/[Twitter ID].

Default value: blank.

Options: Enter a web address that links to your business Twitter account.

Google+ ID

Description: Adds a Google+ link to the website. Users will be directed to https://plus.google.com/[Google+ ID].

Default value: blank.

Options: Enter a web address that links to your business Google+ page.

Youtube Channel

Description: Adds a Youtube Channel link to the website. Users will be directed to https://www.youtube.com/[Youtube ID].

Default value: blank.

Options: Enter a web address that links to your business Youtube account.

Pinterest ID

Description: Adds a Pinterest link to the website. Users will be directed to https://www.pinterest.com/[Pinterest ID].

Default value: blank.

Options: Enter a web address that links to your business Pinterest account.

Terminology

Any references to the various terminology will be changed across the entire site as configured.

Store Definition

Description: Term to use when mentioning stores.

Default value: Salon.

Description: Homepage Logo. Appears in the content area of the main page and store information pages.

Custom CSS
Proceed with caution. CSS is a programming language used to stylize websites, it may be best to work a professional to alter the page styling.

Description: Custom CSS statements to alter the styling of the website.

Options: Fill in CSS code, which will alter the page styling of your web check in site.
