Store Ranking Report

Ultimate resource for multi location performance comparison. The metrics to be shown are selected in the filters, and presented in a column and row format. Users can then click the heading of each column to sort the results by ascending or descending values.

Use Cases by Role

  • Salon Owner: This report is incredibly useful for salon owners due to its flexibility in choosing metrics. It is the best report to compare performance for multiple locations.
  • Salon Manager: Salon managers can use this report to to see if they have any weak areas compared with other locations in the same account.
  • Salon Employee: Salon stylists and other frontline staff can utilize this report as a motivator to foster competition with sister locations.

Data Filters

  • Select Stores: Clicking or tapping here will open the interface that allows the user to select the store(s) that will be be used for the report.
  • Enter Date Range: Clicking or tapping into this field will generate a calendar interface for the user to select the date range.
  • Show: This drop down menu gives users the option of presenting the data in the gross, net, or both terms (as in the illustrated example).
  • Use real time for pph for current day: Selecting this will attempt to calculate pph based on current time when then report is generated versus the time based on the last complete upload
  • Export to Excel: This will generate an Excel friendly version of the report for download
  • The rest of the selections will show or hide various columns from the report

Metrics Tracked

In this report, the metrics to be displayed are selected here in the filters by way of filling in the appropriate checkbox.
  • Name: The name of the location
  • Guest Count: Total number of guests for the location in the given timeframe.
  • Wax Count: Shows the total number of waxing services performed by the location.
  • Total Sales Gross: This will display the total gross revenue (before discounts are applied) generated by the salon in the given timeframe.
  • Total Sales Net: The total net revenue (after discounts are applied) generated by the salon for the requested date range.
  • Service Gross: The total gross service sales revenue (before discounts are applied) generated by the location.
  • Service Net: The net dollar value of service revenue (after discounts are applied) generated by the salon.
  • Product Gross: The total gross retail product revenue (before discounts are applied) generated by the location.
  • Product Net: The total net retail product revenue (after discounts are applied) generated by the location.
  • PPG Gross: The average gross dollar value of product sold per guest.
  • PPG Net: The average net dollar value of products sold per guest.
  • PPH Net: The net service sales production per hour average
  • PPH Com: The commissonable service sales production per hour average
  • Average Ticket Gross: The average gross (before discounts) dollar value of all tickets processed within the timeframe of the report.
  • Average Ticket Net: The average net (after discounts) dollar value of all tickets processed within the timeframe of the report.
  • Waxing Gross: The gross dollar (before discounts) value of all services in the "Perm" category
  • Waxing Net: The net dollar (after discounts) value of all services in the "Wax" category
  • Perm Gross: The gross dollar (before discounts) value of all services in the "Perm" category
  • Perm Net: The net dollar (after discounts) value services of all in the "Perm" category
  • Color Gross: The gross dollar (before discounts) value of all services in the "Color" category performed by the salon.
  • Color Net: The net dollar (after discounts) value of all services in the "Color" category performed by the salon.
  • Shampoo Count: The total number of  services in the "Shampoo" category performed by the location.
  • Treatment Count: The total number of  services in the "Treatment" category performed by the location.
  • Cash Deposit: The total dollar value of cash that was deposited by the locations for the selected date range
  • Check Deposit: The total dollar value of all checks that were deposited by the locations for the selected date range
  • Last Uploaded: The timestamp for the most recent successful upload performed by each location.

Report Calculations

Net is sales after discounts are applied, gross is before discounts are applied

PPG Gross: Product Per Guest in this case - Product Gross divided by Guest Count

PPG Net: Product Per Guest in this case - Product Net divided by Guest Count

PPH Net: Production Per Hour in this case - Service Net divided by Total Production Hours. Production Hours are not shown on this report, the Production Report ran by store totals only is a good reference for this.

PPH Com: Production Per Hour in this case - Commissonable Net divided by Total Production Hours. Neither of these numbers are represented on this report, the Production Report ran by store totals only is a good reference for this. 

Avg Ticket Gross: Total Sales Gross divided by Guest Count

Avg Ticket Net: Total Sales Net divided by Guest Count
