Monthly Sales Projection Report

Location: Reports > Multi-Store > Monthly Sales Projection

Compares sales data for multiple locations, based on figures from the previous year, and predicts possible revenue opportunities based on sales data, and days the location is open.

Use Cases by Role

  • Salon Owner: Salon owners can use this report to reliably predict what kind of revenue numbers they can expect for a future month, based on last year's figures.
  • Salon Manager: Salon managers can use this report to schedule their staff accordingly during times that are expected to be busier than most.
  • Salon Employee: Frontline salon staff such as stylists and receptionists can use this report to see how last year's sales figures can be compared to this one's.

Data Filters

  • Select Stores: Clicking or tapping here will open the interface that allows the user to select the store(s) that will be be used for the report.
  • Month and Year: Selecting a month and year is accomplished by highlighting both in the two sliding drop-down menus.
  • Switch to date Range: Filling this box with a checkmark will replace the aforementioned interface with the traditional date range selection mode.
  • Generate Report: Clicking or tapping on this button will generate the report based on the other filter criteria.

Metrics Tracked

  • Stores: This column displays the name for each location that was selected for the purposes of the report.
  • Days Open For Selected Month: The total number of days the given location is scheduled to be open for business.
  • Days Open Previous Year: The total number of days the location was open for the same month in the previous year.
  • Cuts/Day: The average amount of haircuts performed per day in the same month of the previous year.
  • Gross Sales Per Day: The average dollar value of all gross sales per day in the same month of the previous year.
  • Projected Month Gross Sales: The total dollar value of gross sales projected for last year's month, based on last year's open days.
  • Net Sales Per Day: The average dollar value of net sales per day for the same month of the previous year.
  • Projected Month Net Sales: The total dollar value of net sales projected for last year's month, based on the number of days the salon was open.
  • Last Year Total Net: The total revenue of all net sales for the same month of the previous year.
  • Selected Date Total Net: The total dollar value of net revenue that can be predicted for the selected month month, based on the current days that are open, and last year's figures.
