Quick Keys
Quick Keys are an added layer of convenience for users when processing sales tickets through SuperSalon. They allow stylists and other salon staff to quickly add their most popular Products and/or Services to tickets and appointments via an easy to access menu.
These menus are located in both the Checkout screen as well as the Appointment Book, and this topic will go over their functions and set up.
Quick Keys as Checkout Favorites
The image on the right shows where the Quick Keys are displayed in the Checkout screen as “Favorites”. Having them here by default significantly cuts down on ticket processing time by preventing users from having to drill down to the specific Products and Services via the left-hand radial menu.
There are two possible modes for how these Favorites/Quick Keys operate:
- Dynamic: When set to this mode via the Quick Keys submenu, the Favorites will display in order of their popularity, based on sales history.
- Manual: By utilizing this mode, users configure what items appear on the various Favorites lists, as well as the order in which they appear.
The Quick Keys Submenu
Located in the Manager menu, the Quick Keys submenu is where users determine the appearance and order in which items on the Favorites menu of the Checkout screen and Appointment Book will be displayed. This submenu can be broken down as follows:
- Checkout Favorites: This array combines both Products and Services into a unified Favorites list that will appear in the Checkout screen.
- Checkout Services: Configurations and changes in this array will affect the “Favorite Services” Quick Keys menu in the Checkout screen.
- Checkout Products: This area governs the “Favorite Products” Quick Keys menu, also located in the central Favorites list of the Checkout screen.
- Appointment Services: This part of the Quick Keys submenu is where the “Top Services” for the Appointment book are configured for easy use.
- Actions Buttons: When one of the four categories is selected, these two buttons will populate.
Clicking or tapping on “Dynamic” will cause the associated Quick Key category to auto populate based on sales data.
Clicking or tapping on the “Manual” button will open another interface for users to configure their Quick Keys directly.
Configuring Dynamic Quick Keys
Step One: From anywhere in the SuperSalon, click or tap on the Manager Menu.
Step Two: Go into the Quick Keys submenu by clicking or tapping on its associated button, located on the left side.
Step Three: Click or tap on the Quick Key category that you would like to configure from the four given choices.
Step Four: When the two action buttons populate, click or tap on the one labeled “Dynamic”.
Step Five: Repeat the process for each Quick Key category that needs to be configured for Dynamic mode. All Favorites menus will now be based on past sales data.
Manually Configuring Quick Keys
Step One: From anywhere in the SuperSalon, click or tap on the Manager Menu.
Step Two: Go into the Quick Keys submenu by clicking or tapping on its associated button, located on the left side.
Step Three: Click or tap on the Quick Key category that you would like to configure from the four given choices.
Step Four: When the two action buttons populate, click or tap on the one labeled “Manual”.
Step Five: An interface will populate with two sides. The rows on the right side are all of the available items that can be added to this Favorites list, and the rows on the right reflect the current list.
Step Six: Click or tap on the items that need to be added to the Favorites list, and they will move to it automatically.
Step Seven: The list can further be configured using the associated arrows to move the items up or down on the list, depending on need.
Step Eight: Repeat the process for each Quick Key category that needs to be configured manually. The associated Favorites menus will now be based on these choices until set differently from this submenu.
